Poverty is an outrage against humanity. It robs people of dignity, freedom and hope and of power over their own lives where they become open to all kinds of vulnerabilities. In an ideal world our vision is to end poverty – and we believe that vision can become a reality.

Our Mission 

The Saffron Comunity Trust is a Muslim relief and development charity working mainly with Muslim communities in the UK and abroad and our work is founded on the Muslim faith, inspired by hope and acts to change an unjust world through charity.

Saffron Community Trust believes that everyone has a moral duty to support the idea of a world that can and must be swiftly changed to one where everyone can live a full life, free from poverty.

Saffron Community Trust is working to bring change that eradicates the causes of poverty, striving to achieve equality, dignity and freedom for all, regardless of faith or nationality.

Saffron Community Trust wants to provide urgent, practical and effective assistance where need is great and by tackling the root effects of poverty as well as its root causes will help flourish self sustaining communities

Our Values

The Saffron Community Trust aims to carry out tasks with honesty, care and love for humanity, we enforce working in humility in our presentation and behaviour, recognising that we are part of a wider alliance against poverty.

• Understanding: In order to provide effective relief we try to understand the particular needs and demands of the people we are attempting to help.
• Integrity: Each person has the right to live and be treated with dignity and integrity. Saffron Community Trust upholds these principles of humanity while ensuring that we have integrity in all our actions.
• Acountability: We aim to hold ourselves accountable for our actions before we are held accountable by Allah (SWT) and others, being accountable at all levels for the effectiveness of our actions and open in our judgements and communications with others
• Trustworthy: The Saffron Community Trust expects all its staff and volunteers to respect their responsibilities and work professionally and with integrity to gain the respect and trust of those around them and the public, we have policies and procedures in place to best ensure that our staff are well informed of this.
